According to the latest ranking of the National University Commison (NUC), Ahmadu Bello University came top out of 111 Universities in Nigeria beating University of Lagos and Obafemi Awolowo University which came second and third respectively.
The top five positions are occupied by Federal Universities while Covenant University, Ota occupies the sixth position.
Lagos State University (LASU) again retains its position as the best state University in Nigeria as it sits in the 16th position on the list.
The bottom three are Private Universities; Rhema University, Aba, Wesley University of science and technology, Ondo city and Samuel Adegboyega University, taking 109, 110 and 111 positions respectively.
